Pollination Fence Weave
A small installation on a chicken wire fence to celebrate the creation of a new allotment space in a cultural centre in Campeche, Mexico.
Taking advantage of the hexagonal pattern of the fence, pathways were sewn. There was a ‘seed’ at the end of each. The paths randomly spread outwards from an initial point, like seeds dispersing in the wind. Each pathway was a different colour, representing the spectrum of produce that was to be grown.
The piece was named Pollination.
