This print was created during research for a residency in New York state.. It relates to the bird culls that occurred following the Hudson plane landing in 2009.
If you look carefully you can see the birds have broken necks to represent their demise.
This work went on show at the BIRE gallery in Beacon where it attracted such comments as ‘Well those birds are a real problem, they shit on my lawn‘.
One copy now resides with a long standing environmental group in the area who restored my sanity and faith in humanity.
